Five people play bongos on fifteen Beatles recordings. Ringo Starr plays bongos on eleven of them, ahead of Paul McCartney on three. Most of them are credited on one record only, three of the five, John Lennon (on 'Strawberry Fields Forever'), Andy White (on 'P.S. I Love You') and George Harrison (on 'Strawberry Fields Forever'). The Magical Mystery Tour album shows more of them than any other album for its length, three of the five across its eleven tracks. Starr plays bongos alone on the catalogue from 1963 to 1966, and in 1967 it opens up to Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison.
