Dave Harries engineered one Beatles recording, 'Strawberry Fields Forever' from 1967. Lennon wrote and sang it, it came out on the Magical Mystery Tour album, 17 February 1967, it was cut 24 November 1966, and it was put out as an A-side. It comes eighth of the album's eleven tracks, it was a top ten either side, and it was reworked for Love. On 'Strawberry Fields Forever' Dave Harries was EMI technical engineer, and stood in at the start of the 8 Dec 1966 session in Martin and Emerick's absence. Swarmandal is on it too, on two of their recordings in all.
