John Skinner turns up on one Beatles recording, 'Yellow Submarine' from 1966, credited for backing vocals and sound effects. McCartney and Lennon wrote it, it was cut 26 May 1966 with Ringo taking the lead, and it came out on Revolver, 5 August 1966. It comes sixth of the album's fourteen tracks, it was a UK number one, and Giles Martin remixed it for the reissues. It was made with echo chamber, one of only three of their recordings made that way.
