Mal Evans turns up on thirteen Beatles recordings from 1965 to 1970. Evans turns up on three of the twelve tracks on the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album, more than on any other album. The first was 'You Won't See Me' and the last 'You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)'. Eight of the thirteen come from 1967 and 1968, and only three from everything after, the peak closing with 'Birthday'. Paul owns the singing here, six of the thirteen, three for John, and the two of them together on three, with Ringo on one. Evans also sings backing vocals on four of them and provides the sound effects on three of them. On 'Dear Prudence': handclaps, backing vocals. On 'Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!': bass harmonica.
