It turns up on eleven recordings, across almost the whole of the band's recording life, 1963 to 1969. 'There's a Place' came first, on the Please Please Me album, and 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' last, on Abbey Road. Two of them are 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' and 'Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand', and John sings eight of the eleven. John sings lead on two of them, Paul on two and George on one. Lennon and McCartney reach for it at the same rate, 9% and 7% of their own songs. Among them, 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' has Lowrey Heritage Deluxe DSO-1 on it, one of only two of their recordings that do.
