I Want to Hold Your Hand

1963 · Past Masters

“And when I touch you, I feel happy inside”

Lennon and McCartney wrote it 'eyeball-to-eyeball' at Jane Asher's home, designed as their first single aimed squarely at the American market. The record broke the band in the US, reaching #1 for seven weeks and igniting Beatlemania stateside.
