Twelve recordings have it, from 1965 to 1969. 'Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)' is the earliest and 'Come Together' the last. Two of them are 'Michelle' and 'Eleanor Rigby'. More of them come from 1967 on than from the first four years, nine against two. Neither man reaches for it more than the other, 6% of Lennon's songs and 6% of McCartney's. Of the twelve, 'Penny Lane' carries piccolo trumpet as well, which only two of their recordings do.
