I Want You (She's So Heavy)

1969 · Abbey Road

“It's driving me mad”

Lennon composition closing side one of Abbey Road, a blues-rock dirge in D minor built around a riff that alternates between 6/8 and 4/4. The seven-minute track ends with an abrupt edit rather than a fade – Lennon's instruction to Geoff Emerick.
