It turns up on 38 recordings, for nearly the whole run, 1963 to 1970. It begins on 'Misery' and finishes on 'Two of Us', with Beatles For Sale leaning on it hardest, seven of its fourteen tracks. More of them come from 1965 or earlier than from 1967 on, 26 against eleven. The singing splits John on fifteen, Paul on six, George on two and Ringo on one. It runs through 26% of Lennon's songs, such as 'Day Tripper' and 'All You Need Is Love', and 17% of McCartney's. On 'There's a Place': harmony in fourths and fifths, and contrary motion. On 'Baby's in Black' it is Lennon and McCartney in close harmony throughout. Among them, 'There's a Place' has Hohner Chromonica on it, one of only four of their recordings that do.
