You're Going to Lose That Girl

1965 · Help!

“If you don't take her out tonight”

Lennon's confrontational warning to a rival, written at his Weybridge home in the if/then conditional logic he favored. The last Help! album track recorded before the band flew to the Bahamas for filming, featuring Ringo's bongos as an early Latin-percussion experiment. The band performs it in the recording-studio scene of the Help! film.
