It first turns up on 'Ticket to Ride', cut 15 February 1965, and was last heard on 'It's All Too Much', with Rubber Soul leaning on it hardest, ten of its fourteen tracks. Geoff Emerick engineered 22 of them, with Norman Smith on sixteen. More of Harrison's songs have it than Lennon's, 28% against 20%, including 'Taxman' and 'I Want to Tell You'. On 'Tell Me What You See' it is Lennon's rhythm guitar on 18 February 1965, three days after the pair of Strats first reached a session. On 'You're Going to Lose That Girl' it is Harrison's solo, re-cut at the 30 March 1965 overdub over the wiped take-day part.
