Good Day Sunshine

1966 · Revolver

“I feel good in a special way”

McCartney's sunlit Revolver track, written at John's house in Weybridge as a response to the Lovin' Spoonful's 'Daydream'. Paul sings lead over his own Wurlitzer piano, with a George Martin ragtime piano solo recorded at half speed and a cascading vocal canon in the coda.
